Joanna operates Property Angels as an Independent Real Estate Broker, established since 2006 on New York’s beautiful East End of Long Island, the North Fork, offering buyer and seller, landlord and tenant representation. 

 

Born in the UK, she had a successful career in England as a film and television art director, receiving several Design and Art Directors Awards and a British Film Academy Award (BAFTA) while working for the BBC. 

 

Joanna moved to Cutchogue with her daughter and husband, a native Long Islander, in 2001 and during the past 20 years residing year round on the North Fork, she has been involved in many voluntary organizations, both locally and internationally. She co-founded and served as an Officer for Southold VOICE, a not-for-profit organization of waterfront property owners and others interested in the regulation, preservation and use of waterfront property in the Southold Township. Also selected as a member of the Board of HANFRA, the Hamptons & North Fork REALTORS ® Association, she received a HANFRA Award for Exemplary Service as Board Member and Secretary in 2014.  

 

As a humanitarian, Joanna has also trained with the Emergency Management Community as a Disaster Communications Specialist. She has a through knowledge and experience of building and coordinating remote work teams in multiple languages, including French, Spanish and German. She founded the VOSG, an all-volunteer Virtual Operations Support Group to support the public response on social media by official Government Agencies, NGOs and business, operating worldwide. She has received numerous awards and commendations for her contributions, including from FEMA and the FDNY Incident Management Team in NYC. 

 

Joanna enjoys all the North Fork has to offer and is a keen hobby farmer, using organic practices to grow food and healing herbs on her family estate.
