HANFRA LISTING SERVICE IS HERE!!! ...FINALLY

CONGRATULATIONS to John Nickles, REALTOR® Emeritus and Cari Salvadori, 2007 REALTOR® of the Year!!

HANFRA's Executive Officer, Richard Stauffer, announced on May 1st that its listing service is fully operational and that John Nickles, REALTOR® Emeritus, former President of HANFRA and principal for the Southold office of LEWIS & NICKLES   became the first CHARTER MEMBER of the HANFRA Listing Service and therefore earned the coveted # 1 Office Designation position. His Cutchogue Office, earned the designation of #2.  John has also agreed to served as the first President of the HANFRA Listing Service, a separate, but wholly owned subsidiary of HANFRA.

Right behind him was, 2007 ROTY Cari Salvadori, co-owner of  POSPISIL REAL ESTATE  in Montauk with office # 3. Other early members were  Joanna Lane, of  PROPERTY ANGELS , in Cutchogue and Robert Scribner  of  REAL HAMPTONS REALTY  in Westhampton Beach. Adding to the First Ten List is Irene D'Agostino  from the MARTHA GREENE AGENCY   and Lynden Restrepo of ATLANTIC BEACH REALTY in Montauk. All should all be  congratulated for their forward thinking and willingness to offer the public the ability to conveniently search for residential, land, commericial and rental listings in one, convenient location.

HANFRA is a not-for-profit organization that offers many services including but not limited to health, disability and life insurance, continuing education and programs designed to help you learn, network and improve your productivity.

As a member of a local board, you also have membership with the New York State Association of REALTORS® (NYSAR) and the National Association of REALTORS® ® (NAR). NYSAR will mail you your membership card which includes your NRDS # (National REALTORS® ® Database #). This number will give you access to the many resources and benefits provided by our State and National associations. You might wish to visit their websites at www.nysar.com and www.realtor.org to familiarize yourself with these organizations. In order to access your membership data and other information on the websites, you will need to know your NRDS number. Please keep it in a secure place until you received your permanent membership card.

HANFRA selects Rapattoni to provide MLS to its members

Rapattoni announced from its headquarters in Simi Valley CA. on October 22, 2007 that they had been selected as vendor of choice for the local association. According to President, Andy Rapattoni, 'The North and South Fork of Long Island is world renowned for its beautiful real estate. We are honored that this prestigious REALTOR® association has chosen us to lead them into the future."

Immediate Past President John Nickles, Chair of HANFRAMLS, added, " We are excited to have selected a company which constantly strives to raise the bar for ease of use, convenience, speed and reliability. This historic event will take place on May 1, 2008, and allow HANFRA to provide its members through a local association, an "affordable, robust, state of the art, exclusively East End listing service which will enable our members to better serve their clients'" added Nickles.

"For the first time, a small one or two person office or three office agencies with numerous agents will be able to afford access to a multiple listing service provided by a local association created to serve the REALTORS® in the five East End townships", reported Richard Stauffer, Executive Officer and MLS coordinator for HANFRA. He reminded the members to check back to the web site, where periodic updates will be provided on the implementation process.

The Hamptons
The southern peninsula of Long Island, which is 44 miles long, is called the South Fork, but it is commonly referred to as “the Hamptons.” The Hamptons extend from Westhampton on the west to Montauk at its furthest eastern point. Eleven villages and hamlets are nestled within its boundaries. The Hamptons are bordered on the South by the Atlantic Ocean and on the north by the Peconic Bay.

The North Fork
The North Fork is composed of all of the Town of Southold in the east and part of the Town of Riverhead in the west. The body of water north of this region is the Long Island Sound. The southern water boundary is comprised of several connected bodies of water, including the Great Peconic Bay, Little Peconic Bay, and Gardiners Bay.
