Listening to people, helping them leverage their financial investments and selling products she believe in, all come quite naturially to Cathy Tweedy, who came to real estate after more than 20 years in the high profile worlds of advertising and direct marketing in New York City. Creative in her thinking and understanding of her clients' needs, Cathy made as seamless a transition to real estate as she did to living in the Hamptons full time after years of renting there.
A native New Yorker who attend high school in Manhattan, Cathy earned her degree in Public Communications from Boston University's School of Communication. She subsequently worked for Ogilvy and Mather rising up the ladder to ultimately fufill the role of Director of Client Services for Ogilvy Direct. Cathy next opened and ran her own successful agency which she later sold, then served as a consultant before venturing into residential real estate.
Weekending and summering in the Hamptons since the mid 90's, inspired Cathy to buy her own home there nearly five years ago. While her first intention was to vacation there the East End beauty and the desire to redirect her professional interests, resulted in the life she enjoys today. " I love what I do. My market knowledge combined with my creativity and marketing savvy enable me to work effectively for those who rely on me to buy, sell or rent a wonderful home." Working for the Corcoran Group, one of the largest residential real estate companies with offices on the North Fork as well as the Hamptons, allows her ample opportunities to demonstrate her skills in listing and selling eastern Long Island real estate.
Cathy enjoys taking part in charitable work and her community. She presently sits on the Board of Ellen's Run that benefits breast cancer patients and their families, and was formerly on the Associates Committee for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of New York. For fun, Cathy loves to visit the beach on a daily basis, whether to take a walk or simply admire the scenery. She also likes to cook, entertain, and travel, whenever time allows.
